WHO WE ARE

Verdel Ratliff Jr. known as VJ by family and friends was born and raised in New Haven, Connecticut. In 2002 he relocated to Charlotte, North Carolina settling in Matthews. With 15 years experience, in May of 2017 Verdel (VJ) founded Heat Shield Window tinting and opened his first store in Lake Norman. Vj loves tinting windows and the opportunity it gives him to interact with people. He plans to provide an experience that you cannot find anywhere else and promote the best quality and skill that the automotive, residential, and commercial window tinting industry has to find.

He’s now done full 360 tint and tinted my tail lights with my own parts… you don’t see that often. I won’t take my car anywhere else for tints and I’ll be back for paint correction in the future???? even if you’re 30 min away like I am, it’s worth the drive and the reviews DO NOT LIE!!! 5/5 across the board. Also had other upscale offerings they apparently do vinyl, so if I want to black out the chrome on my ride, I can. Super pumped.

I had concerns about getting my leather dash and door panels wet and Verdel reassured me that he would take measures to protect my new vehicle. He did a great job while I waited there in the lounge. I will say that the tint doesn't block heat like I thought it was supposed to do but Verdel did a great job installing it.I chose the highest level Autobahn tint but I would probably request a different brand next time like the 3M or Xpel for better heat rejection.
